Blackhawk Slide

Looking northwest. Obviously these all got lifted up as hogbacks; which means it's quite a bit older than the slide, or else the slide (only a few hundred yards away) would be similarly tilted. In the CA geologic map, there's a very small wedge of Precambrian metamorphic rock right here, pushed adjacent to a small block of old granite by the Old Woman Springs fault.
